Cirque Éloize’s Saloon

Cirque Éloize, a world leader in contemporary circus, is heading back to the West End with the UK premiere of its new show, Saloon. Running from Wednesday 4 – Saturday 21 October at The Peacock, the show is inspired by the rich legacy of the Wild West. Saloon showcases the company’s trademark blend of spectacular circus and drama to create the colourful characters swinging through the saloon doors and delighting audiences. Rambert tours with new and iconic works

Rambert is to tour two new dance works around the UK, performed alongside treasured favourites, some of the company’s best loved work. The company will welcome commissions from Andonis Foniadakis and Ben Duke, and it will present large-scale contemporary dance works across the UK. Mentorship scheme launched for women in the arts

Kate Bryan, Tamara Rojo and Elizabeth Freestone are among those joining a scheme to help nurture the next generation of women leaders in the arts, through University Women in the Arts. It is a new scheme to mentor the next generation of female leaders, launched earlier this year at Drama Centre London at Central Saint Martins. Karis Scarlette – En Avant Ballet

En Avant Ballet was founded by Karis Scarlette, a former Royal Ballet dancer. Throughout her training, she was lucky enough to be coached by Royal Ballet dancers and teachers such as Sir Anthony Dowell, Anya Linden, Jay Jolley, Dame Beryl Grey, Wayne Sleep OBE and Darcey Bussell CBE. Karis has danced in a wide range of productions with The Royal Ballet including The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and Tales of Beatrix Potter. NBC has been leading the way for live television musicals, a trend which was revived in 2013 with the television channel’s adapted revival of The Sound of Music starring Carrie Underwood.
