En Avant Ballet was founded by Karis Scarlette, a former Royal Ballet dancer. Throughout her training, she was lucky enough to be coached by Royal Ballet dancers and teachers such as Sir Anthony Dowell, Anya Linden, Jay Jolley, Dame Beryl Grey, Wayne Sleep OBE and Darcey Bussell CBE. Karis has danced in a wide range of productions with The Royal Ballet including The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and Tales of Beatrix Potter. The Birmingham Weekender
The full programme for Birmingham’s biggest arts festival has been announced, taking place from 22 – 24 September. Across the city over three days, there will be 120 performances, 300 artists and 26 new commissions. It will be a cultural adventure for audiences, with some special treats for dance lovers too.
