Sadler’s Wells has announced 20 landmark commissions to mark the 20th anniversary of the iconic London theatre. Natalia Osipova, Mark Morris, William Forsythe, Sharon Eyal and Akram Khan are among the internationally acclaimed artists presenting new work, which will be produced or co-produced by Sadler’s Wells in 2018 for its big year. BBC outlines new arts and culture programming for 2018

BBC Arts has outlined some of the BBC’s ambitions for dance programming in 2018, in amongst the planning for arts and culture in the coming year. Today’s thriving dance scene will be honoured with a special season of programming for BBC Four this spring, featuring some of today’s most exciting dance makers and the enduring legacy of others, whilst shining a light on a broad range of dance styles from ballet and contemporary, to tap and hip-hop. Discovering Repertoire

The Royal Academy of Dance has launched Discovering Repertoire, a classical ballet performance programme for students aged 12 upwards, and adults of all ages. The programme offers students the chance to learn and dance well-known, classical repertoire from Coppélia, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker to the original score.
